Yanfei wants a consistent amount of Hydro application to be able to keep up with her for elemental reactions. This means that 2 Hydro characters is ideal. Furina is often Yanfei's best support due to the powerful DMG buffs Furina provides on top of some elemental application.
Yanfei functions as a long-range Pyro driver, using her Charged Attacks to trigger Vaporize reactions for consistent high-target damage.
Yelan provides coordinated Hydro attacks that Yanfei triggers with her Normals, while her passive ramps up Yanfei's damage throughout the rotation.
Furina adds extra Hydro application to prevent Pyro override and provides a team-wide DMG buff that scales Yanfei's entire kit.
Xilonen provides the necessary sustain and RES shred, ensuring Yanfei's Vaporize hits deal maximum damage while keeping her safe from interruption.
