Strengths
- Only accessible Dendro healer — uniquely fills both the healer and Dendro applicator role in one slot
- Consistent off-field Dendro application via Yuegui without field time
- Healing scales with HP% making her durable and effective with minimal artifact investment
- Strong in Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Quicken teams
- Relatively low ER requirements due to passive energy generation
Weaknesses
- Healing can be unreliable if enemies separate from characters (Yuegui has targeting AI)
- Not a DPS character — purely support role
- Dendro application frequency is moderate, not the strongest for reaction-heavy setups
- Competes with Nahida for the Dendro slot in teams that don't need healing
Talent Priority
Main source of damage or utility. Level to 10.
Level to 6–8 for meaningful gains.
Level minimally or skip.
Substat Priority
Skill Yuegui handles off-field Dendro and healing. Burst for emergency healing or Dendro burst windows before Bloom seed phase.
Dendro resonance with Nahida boosts all Dendro reactions. Yaoyao's Deepwood 4-Piece shreds Dendro RES while Nahida can use Gilded Dreams for more damage.
Place Yuegui with Skill, then switch to DPS. Use Burst when team HP is low or before a Bloom rotation for maximum Dendro application.

Team Compositions

Raiden Shogun
Hyperbloom Trigger / DPS

Xingqiu
Hydro Applier / Sub-DPS

Yaoyao
Dendro Healer

Fischl
Electro Sub-DPS / Battery
Yaoyao as healer and Dendro applicator in a Hyperbloom team. Her off-field Dendro combines with Hydro for Bloom seeds, which are then converted to Hyperbloom by an Electro character. She heals safely while enabling the reaction core.

Raiden's Electro triggers Hyperbloom on Bloom seeds. High EM Raiden maximizes Hyperbloom damage.

Off-field Hydro pairs with Yaoyao's Dendro for Bloom seed generation. Rain Swords add significant damage.

Applies Dendro via Yuegui for Bloom with Xingqiu's Hydro. Heals the team consistently, especially important with Bloom self-damage risk.

Double Electro resonance with Raiden. Oz provides additional Electro procs for more Hyperbloom triggers.
Talents & Constellations
Talents
Standard 4-hit polearm combo. Never used in her support role. Leave at level 1.
Throws Yuegui the Radish Rabbit, who bounces between characters and enemies. Yuegui hits enemies with White Jade Radishes for Dendro DMG, and heals characters below a certain HP threshold. The targeting AI cycles between DPS and enemies for sustained support.
Yaoyao enters a Lush and Verdant state, entering Dendro Enchantment. During this state, she throws Yuegui radishes continuously that heal the active character and apply Dendro in an AoE. She gains bonus movement speed. The Burst provides strong sustained healing and Dendro application.
When Yaoyao throws a Yuegui from her Burst, nearby opponents receive Dendro, based on how many radishes are thrown. Increases the Dendro application frequency during Burst.
When the Yuegui from Raphanus Sky Cluster hits an enemy, there is a 50% chance it generates a Mega Radish that heals and applies Dendro more intensively. Doubles the effectiveness of Yuegui on lucky procs.
Constellations
Yaoyao herself applies a mini-Deepwood Memories effect through her Yuegui hits. Excellent for teams where no one else holds Deepwood.
Is it worth getting?
Excellent C1 for teams without a Deepwood carrier. Frees artifact slots for other characters.
Energy regeneration during Burst ensures she can chain Bursts comfortably in longer fights.
Is it worth getting?
Good QoL for Burst uptime. Reduces ER threshold in extended content.
Increases Yuegui damage and healing. More relevant for healing throughput.
Is it worth getting?
Solid healing upgrade. Not a reason to pull specifically.
Team-wide EM boost on Burst activation. Excellent for Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Quicken teams where EM amplifies reaction damage.
Is it worth getting?
Strong team utility. The 80 EM buff to all party members directly amplifies reaction DPS. Worth pursuing for dedicated Yaoyao players.
Increases Burst healing and Dendro application. Pairs with C3 for improved Skill and Burst.
Is it worth getting?
Solid upgrade after C4.
Improved Yuegui targeting and AoE makes healing more reliable and Dendro application broader.
Is it worth getting?
Quality-of-life improvement that makes her more consistent. Not transformative but welcome.
C0 Yaoyao is fully functional as a Dendro healer. C1 is particularly valuable if no one on the team holds Deepwood Memories.
Alternatives to Yaoyao
Not sure Yaoyao is right for you? Compare against other characters to find your best pull.

Far superior Dendro DPS and Quicken enabler, but doesn't heal. Use Nahida for maximum Dendro reaction damage; Yaoyao when healing is needed.

5★ Dendro healer with shields. Better survivability but harder to obtain. Yaoyao is the F2P alternative.

Better healing and AoE Hydro. Use in Bloom/Hyperbloom teams when Dendro is covered by another unit.
