Lauma vs Kaveh

The Dendro enabler vs. the Dendro Bloom driver

TL;DR — Quick Pick

Pick Lauma if…

  • In any team where Dendro is a secondary supporting element
  • When you need a reliable healer who doesn't need to be on-field
  • To support high-damage carries like Cyno or Nilou

Pick Kaveh if…

  • In F2P Bloom teams without Nilou
  • If you want to play a character who literally explodes cores for damage
  • When you enjoy the unique mechanic of healing from reaction damage
Verdict

Lauma is a much more versatile and powerful unit in the current meta. Kaveh is a fun niche character for F2P Bloom, but Lauma's ability to support the team's best units makes her far more valuable.

With Lauma

Xingqiu's Raincutter provides the off-field Hydro application Lauma needs to trigger Blooms or Hyperblooms consistently. His damage reduction and interruption resistance also allow Lauma to stay on-field and apply Dendro more safely.

With Kaveh

Xingqiu is essential for Kaveh, as his high-frequency Hydro application ensures Kaveh can constantly trigger Bloom reactions during his Burst. The defensive utility from Xingqiu's Rain Swords also protects Kaveh while he absorbs Bloom damage to heal.
