Lauma vs Yaoyao

5-star Dendro flexibility vs. 4-star bunny healing

TL;DR — Quick Pick

Pick Lauma if…

  • When you want off-field Dendro without needing to stay on-field during a Burst
  • To provide more offensive buffs to your team
  • In teams that require consistent wide-range Dendro application

Pick Yaoyao if…

  • When you need a budget-friendly Dendro healer for Nilou Bloom
  • To quickly top off the whole team with her Burst
  • If you need a reliable Dendro battery for a main carry like Alhaitham
Verdict

Lauma is generally the superior unit due to being 5-star with better off-field presence. Yaoyao remains an excellent 4-star healer, but Lauma's lower field time requirements make her more desirable for high-end rotations.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Lauma

Strengths
  • Powerful off-field Bloom support with good off-field elemental application and decent damage.
  • Provides both a Hydro and Dendro RES Shred.
  • Can allow Bloom-based reactions to crit. Something previously only available with Nahida's C2.
Weaknesses
  • You lose the ability for Bloom-based reactions to Crit if you use multiple Nod-Krai characters.
  • Healing is entirely locked behind C1 which provides a very significant change to team-building.

Yaoyao

Strengths
  • Only accessible Dendro healer — uniquely fills both the healer and Dendro applicator role in one slot
  • Consistent off-field Dendro application via Yuegui without field time
  • Healing scales with HP% making her durable and effective with minimal artifact investment
Weaknesses
  • Healing can be unreliable if enemies separate from characters (Yuegui has targeting AI)
  • Not a DPS character — purely support role
  • Dendro application frequency is moderate, not the strongest for reaction-heavy setups

Shared Team Members

With Lauma

Lauma provides the consistent, high-uptime healing needed to counteract Furina's team-wide HP drain, ensuring maximum Fanfare stacks. This synergy allows Furina to provide a massive DMG buff to the entire party while Lauma keeps everyone healthy.

With Yaoyao

Yaoyao's Burst provides the massive team-wide healing required to instantly stack Furina's Fanfare during a rotation. While off-field, Yaoyao's Yuegui also provides steady healing and Dendro application to complement Furina's Hydro hits.
