Kazuha vs Sucrose

DMG Bonus engine for any comp vs. the EM-sharing specialist.

TL;DR — Quick Pick

Pick Kazuha if…

  • You want a universal support that improves any team regardless of reaction type.
  • You play non-reaction or Freeze teams where EM sharing has no value.
  • You want the plunge grouping to control enemies in addition to the DMG Bonus.

Pick Sucrose if…

  • You are specifically running a Vaporize, Melt, Quicken, or Aggravate team and want to maximize EM.
  • You don't have Kazuha and need a free Anemo support with VV shred today.
  • You want to minimise resource investment — Sucrose is farmable and her best weapon is craftable.
Verdict

Kazuha is the better support in essentially every scenario — his DMG Bonus buff benefits the entire team regardless of reactions, he provides light grouping, and his scalability with EM investment is higher than Sucrose's. Sucrose is an excellent F2P alternative in reaction-heavy teams, particularly if you don't have Kazuha yet. In pure Vaporize or Quicken teams she can approach Kazuha's value, but she never matches his ceiling.

Shared Team Members

With Kazuha

Strong Vaporize pairing. Kazuha's EM-scaling DMG Bonus and Pyro VV shred amplify every Charged Attack. His plunge pull also keeps enemies close for Hu Tao's short range.

With Sucrose

Viable budget alternative. Sucrose's EM share gives Hu Tao a meaningful reaction boost in Vaporize, and VV shred still applies. The ceiling is lower but the comp is F2P accessible.

With Kazuha

Excellent in Quicken/Spread teams. Kazuha's EM buff doesn't directly trigger Dendro reactions but his VV shred and DMG Bonus still amplify Nahida's output and the team's overall damage.

With Sucrose

Strong synergy. Sucrose's EM share is particularly valuable in Quicken and Aggravate teams because every point of EM increases Nahida's Spread and Quicken reaction damage.
