Arlecchino vs Lyney

Reaction-flexible DPS vs. mono-Pyro's best Charged Attack specialist.

TL;DR — Quick Pick

Pick Arlecchino if…

  • You want to play reaction teams (Vaporize, Melt) for higher damage potential.
  • You need AoE damage for multi-target Spiral Abyss chambers.
  • You play content where enemies move frequently and aiming is punishing.

Pick Lyney if…

  • You already have Bennett, Xiangling, and Kazuha for a strong mono-Pyro core.
  • You specifically enjoy Charged Attack bow gameplay and find it satisfying.
  • You're building a single-target boss-killer setup where AoE isn't needed.
Verdict

Lyney is excellent — but only in his lane. He requires a mono-Pyro composition (Bennett, Xiangling, Kazuha/Sucrose) to reach his ceiling, struggles with AoE, and is vulnerable to interruption without a shielder. Arlecchino has broader utility: she works in reaction teams, handles multi-target content better, and builds her own sustain. Unless you specifically want the mono-Pyro Charged Attack experience, Arlecchino is the more versatile pull.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Arlecchino

Strengths
  • High personal damage that isn’t reliant on specific combos
  • Flexible teambuilding and rotations
  • Not reliant on her Burst to deal damage
Weaknesses
  • Cannot rely on healers for survivability; personal healing is tied to a fairly high-cost Burst
  • Vulnerable to interruption at C0
  • Noticeable performance gap between her signature weapon and other weapons, particularly free ones

Lyney

Strengths
  • Able to taunt enemies with the Grin-Malkin Hat from his Elemental Skill.
  • Grin-Malkin Hat can easily be refreshed using both Lyney's Charged Attacks and Elemental Burst.
  • Powerful Pyro DMG with a unique Pyro-focused kit.
Weaknesses
  • Can be easily staggered while aiming, so shields or Interruption RES are important.
  • While Lyney's kit is designed around Mono-Pyro gameplay, many teams now favor stronger reaction-based setups instead.

Shared Team Members

With Arlecchino

Core pick. Unmatched flat ATK buff, Pyro resonance, and emergency healing that keeps Bond of Life HP management comfortable.

With Lyney

Mandatory in mono-Pyro. His ATK buff is Lyney's single biggest damage amplifier and Pyro resonance is required for the team to function.

With Arlecchino

Essentially mandatory in Vaporize comps. His Pyro shred and EM-scaling DMG Bonus are uncontested across Arlecchino's reaction teams.

With Lyney

Pillar of mono-Pyro. VV shred amplifies the entire team's Pyro damage and his DMG Bonus scales independently — one of Lyney's best support options.

With Arlecchino

Strong off-field Pyro for Vaporize or reverse-Melt comps. Good synergy but Arlecchino doesn't require mono-Pyro, so she's optional.

With Lyney

Near-mandatory in mono-Pyro. Xiangling's off-field Pyro from Pyronado lets Lyney focus entirely on Charged Attacks without losing Pyro uptime.
