Kazuha vs Lynette

The pinnacle of Anemo support vs. Fontaine's free-to-play alternative

TL;DR — Quick Pick

Pick Kazuha if…

  • In any elemental team (Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, Electro) for massive buffs
  • When you need strong grouping for multi-target Abyss floors
  • If you want the most versatile support in the game

Pick Lynette if…

  • If you don't have Kazuha or Venti and need a VV holder
  • When fighting Fontaine enemies that require Ousia alignment
  • If you need a taunt to redirect enemy attention
Verdict

Kazuha is arguably the best support in the game, providing unmatched grouping and damage buffs. Lynette is a competent F2P alternative with unique Fontaine utility, but she cannot match Kazuha's power level.

Shared Team Members

With Kazuha

Kazuha is the engine of the 'International' team, using his grouping and dual-element swirling to provide massive DMG buffs and RES shred to both Childe and Xiangling. His ability to cluster enemies allows Childe's Riptide mechanic to deal exponential AoE damage. The grouping also ensures that Childe's Elemental Burst hits all targets within the Bennett field.

With Lynette

Lynette acts as a budget grouping and VV shred support for Childe, though her crowd control is less consistent than Kazuha's. Her Bogglecat Box provides some off-field distractions and secondary elemental application that can assist with Hydro-related reactions. She also gives a modest ATK buff to the team based on the number of different elements present, benefiting Childe's melee stance.

With Kazuha

Kazuha provides a massive Electro DMG bonus to Raiden through his Poetics of Fuubutsu passive when he swirls Electro. This, combined with Viridescent Venerer shred, significantly amplifies Raiden's initial Musou no Hitotachi slash and subsequent infused attacks. His grouping also keeps enemies within range of Raiden's standard attack string during her burst.

With Lynette

Lynette can provide standard Viridescent Venerer shred for Raiden's Electro damage and contribute some off-field damage through her burst. While she doesn't offer the same DMG% buffing as Kazuha, her burst can provide a minor ATK buff to the team after using her skill. She is a functional Anemo slot that helps Raiden manage groups of smaller enemies.
