Verdict

Kazuha is the better universal support — he amplifies damage for any team, works on bosses, and scales with EM investment. Venti is the better choice specifically in chambers full of small enemies, where his Burst groups the entire wave and enables free damage for every off-field unit. In the current meta where bosses and elite enemies dominate endgame, Kazuha has the edge. But Venti's ceiling in the right chamber is unmatched — if you have both, put Kazuha on the boss side and Venti on the mob side.

Strengths
  • A4 passive gives the entire team massive Elemental DMG Bonus — universal buff for every elemental DPS
  • Viridescent Venerer 40% RES shred layers on top of A4 buff
  • Excellent grouping from Skill's Plunge and Burst AoE
Weaknesses
  • Provides little to no benefit for Geo or Physical DPS teams
  • Plunge Skill can send lightweight enemies flying out of range
  • Building him requires EM-heavy artifacts — limited CRIT synergy

Strengths
  • Strong Small Target Crown Control.
  • Has a large variety of team options.
  • Easy to play.
Weaknesses
  • Large enemies are not affected by Venti's Elemental Burst.
  • Elemental Burst can be difficult to place exactly where it is suppose to be.
  • Burst sometimes lifts the enemies too high and they can not be reached by the Main DPS anymore.

Core in National team. Kazuha's Pyro VV shred and DMG Bonus amplify every Guoba hit and Pyronado tick. He is Xiangling's best support in single-target and boss fights.

With Venti

Powerful in mob chambers. Venti's vortex groups enemies under Xiangling's Pyronado, allowing it to hit everything simultaneously. One of the highest AoE clear combos available.

With Kazuha

Kazuha swirls Electro from Oz, applying VV Electro shred and adding his DMG Bonus. The combo works consistently in reaction teams.

With Venti

Venti's vortex pulls enemies under Oz's range, letting Fischl's off-field Electro hit all grouped enemies simultaneously. AoE Electro-Charged potential is very high.
