Teleport

Teleport to a target and perform a Finisher. If the finisher kills the target, Ash regains a portion of the energy spent.

Introduced in Vanilla (2012-10-25)

Ability stats

Strength
  • 125% / 150% / 175% / 200% (finisher damage)
Duration
  • N/A
Range
  • 20 / 45 / 45 / 60 m
Misc
  • 50% (energy refund on finisher kill)
  • 100% (energy discount on Blade Storm target)

Info

  • Ash warps to a chosen target and immediately performs a Finisher.
  • Killing with that Finisher refunds a portion of the energy spent, making successful assassinations cheaper to chain.
  • Works as both a gap-closer and an execute — especially strong against open-finisher enemies.
  • Synergizes with Smoke Screen (safe approach) and Blade Storm (join marked fights instantly).

Teleport Rush

On finisher, grants Parkour Velocity for a time and extends Smoke Screen’s duration. Teleport Mercy finishers fully refresh the duration bonuses.

Max rank: +30% Parkour Velocity for 12s and +5s Smoke Screen duration per proc (Duration scales the timed bonuses).

Cast Changes

  1. Shifts Teleport from a pure execute into a mobility + invis upkeep tool.
  2. Lets Ash (and Smoke Shadow allies) refresh invis without dumping another full 35 energy smoke every time.
  3. Replaced the older Fatal Teleport augment (auto back-finisher + damage) as of Update 38.5.

Worth the Slot?

  1. Worth it on modern Ash — Smoke Screen uptime and tile traversal are the kit’s bottlenecks more than raw finisher damage.
  2. Mandatory-feeling with Smoke Shadow squad support so you can refresh ally cloaks via Teleport finishers.
  3. Skip only if you’re recreating an old Fatal Teleport finisher-meme build and accept losing the current augment’s kit synergy.

Tips & Tricks

  • Always try to Teleport into a kill — energy refund is what keeps Ash looping.
  • Mark with Blade Storm, then Teleport into the densest pack to finish what clones soften.
  • If a target won’t open to finishers, don’t burn Teleport — use Shuriken or guns instead.
  • Cast Smoke Screen before Teleport in high-threat tiles so you don’t get deleted on arrival.

Synergies

  • Smoke ScreenTeleport

Safe engage; Teleport Rush then extends the smoke you just cast.

  • Blade StormTeleport

Free/discounted dive onto marked targets; join clones mid-clear.

  • Shuriken stripTeleport

Finishers actually kill through armored HP so refunds keep flowing.

  • Melee stance / heavy finisher mods

Teleport is the delivery system — Covert Lethality / Finishing Touch still matter on the weapon.

Mod Scaling

Strength

Scales the innate finisher damage multiplier on Teleport. Teleport Rush’s parkour/smoke bonuses are Duration-driven, not Strength.

Duration

Base Teleport ignores Duration. Teleport Rush’s parkour buff and Smoke Screen extension scale with Duration.

Range

Cast range to acquire targets — dump carefully; too little Range makes the button feel unreliable in big tiles.

Efficiency

Refunds return half the casting cost on finisher kill (scales with how much you spent). Efficiency still helps when you miss kills.

Priority

With Teleport Rush: Duration → Efficiency → Range → Strength. Pure execute focus: Strength → Efficiency → Range, dump Duration.

Mission Use Cases

MissionHow to Use It
Exterminate / Capture Speed RunsTeleport to the next enemy instead of parkouring the whole tile. With Teleport Rush, each finisher also refreshes Smoke Screen so you stay invisible longer.
Steel Path Crowded RoomsMark a pack with Blade Storm, then Teleport into a target that can be finished. Avoid teleporting into enemies that won’t open for a finisher.
Spy Vault ExitsAfter the vault is done, Teleport to a far enemy to leave the fight quickly. Good panic button when alarms are up.
Open World BountiesClose long gaps onto a marked target in one cast. Faster than flying or running every time an elite spawns across the map.

Comparisons

  • VS

Vs movement tools like Wisp Reservoir or Ivara’s navigate bolt — Those mostly relocate you. Ash’s Teleport also does a finisher and can refund energy if the kill lands.

  • VS

Vs just bullet jumping or Void Sling — Normal movement is free, but Teleport pays you with a finisher and energy back when it kills. Use it when there is a real target to execute.

  • VS

Vs the old Fatal Teleport augment — Fatal Teleport forced finishers and added damage. Teleport Rush is the current augment and is better for keeping Smoke Screen up and moving through tiles.
