Strengths & Weaknesses

Blade

Strengths
  • “Death Sentence” dumps a huge single-target Wind multiplier into one elite—boss and Apocalyptic Shadow checks are where this Ultimate earns its trace levels.
  • Skill “Hellscape” spends a large HP chunk to refund Energy and advance action—the rotation wants controlled self-damage, not panic healing that cancels the state.
  • Talent “Shuhu's Gift” builds into self-triggered Follow-Up ATKs—stack management is the real rotation, not just Skill spam.
Weaknesses
  • “Shuhu's Gift” Follow-Ups only fire after the Charge/HP conditions are met—wasting Skill or over-healing can strand Blade below the Follow-Up threshold for a full cycle.
  • E0 without “The Unreachable Side” is still clearable, but the gap versus a signature copy is larger than a single eidolon for most Destruction carries—plan the cone before deep eidolon hunting.
  • HP-spend skills mean Blade can soft-lock if sustain is weak or if a healer tops them up at the wrong time and breaks a low-HP / Charge condition.

Hook

Strengths
  • “Boom! Here Comes the Fire!” dumps a huge single-target Fire multiplier into one elite—boss and Apocalyptic Shadow checks are where this Ultimate earns its trace levels.
  • Skill “Hey! Remember Hook?” rolls a base-chance debuff that wants Effect Hit Rate—this is the spend that keeps the rotation honest.
  • Talent “Ha! Oil to the Flames!” refunds a meaningful chunk of Energy inside the Skill—good play literally shortens Ult cooldown.
Weaknesses
  • If Energy or Skill Points starve “Boom! Here Comes the Fire!”, Hook spends turns on Basics and the kit’s advertised multipliers never show up on the combat log.
  • As a 4★ Destruction unit, Hook is easy to gear for early/mid game but usually loses the niche race to a modern limited option once that banner is built.
  • Spamming “Hey! Remember Hook?” every turn without watching Skill Points strands the rest of the team—Hook is often the SP sink.

With Blade

Tingyun is the Advance / DMG amp — time their Skill/Ult for the carry’s damage window.

With Hook

Tingyun is the Advance / DMG amp — time their Skill/Ult for the carry’s damage window.

With Blade

Gallagher covers HP / memosprite upkeep so the Remembrance loop does not collapse mid-wave.

With Hook

Gallagher covers healing (and often Energy / cleanse) so the carry can stay on-curve.
