Should You Pull?SITUATIONAL

Situational standard—Yanqing collapses without Soulsteel Sync. Ultimate “Amidst the Raining Bliss” buffs allies’ damage for a short window. Needs Aventurine. Best partners: Gepard / Sunday / Bronya. Any HP damage drops Sync—shielder is mandatory. Skip when you have any other Ice DPS invested.

Yanqing is a 5★ Ice The Hunt Main DPS. Skill “Darting Ironthorn” is the primary in-combat spend. Ultimate “Amidst the Raining Bliss” is the payoff window for damage or team utility. This Phase 1 page covers kit text, gear targets, and pull notes—team comps stay empty until Phase 2.

Strengths

  • “Amidst the Raining Bliss” dumps a huge single-target Ice multiplier into one elite—boss and Apocalyptic Shadow checks are where this Ultimate earns its trace levels.
  • Talent “One With the Sword” builds into self-triggered Follow-Up ATKs—stack management is the real rotation, not just Skill spam.
  • Skill “Darting Ironthorn” dumps a large single-target multiplier into one elite—this is the spend that keeps the rotation honest.
  • When you own “Sleep Like the Dead”, Yanqing’s damage or utility ceiling jumps because the cone was written around this kit’s triggers—not a generic path stick.

Weaknesses

  • “Amidst the Raining Bliss” is single-target—multi-wave Pure Fiction asks the rest of the team to clear trash while Yanqing focuses the elite.
  • “One With the Sword” Follow-Ups only fire after the Charge/HP conditions are met—wasting Skill or over-healing can strand Yanqing below the Follow-Up threshold for a full cycle.
  • E0 without “Sleep Like the Dead” is still clearable, but the gap versus a signature copy is larger than a single eidolon for most The Hunt carries—plan the cone before deep eidolon hunting.
  • Spamming “Darting Ironthorn” every turn without watching Skill Points strands the rest of the team—Yanqing is often the SP sink.
